Hortulus Farm: The Story of An American Garden
The moving history of Hortulus Farm and the creation of its celebrated gardens, from an original William Penn land grant of 1697 to seven generations of the same family and great prosperity in the 17th and 18th Centuries to sheriff’s sale in 1931 and years of near dereliction to the residency of the current owners in 1980 and their restoration of the historic property.

Listening to the Landscape
Renowned garden and event guru Renny Reynolds shares with you two of his most famous garden projects: his own gardens at Hortulus Farm in Wrightstown, PA, and the Connecticut garden of the legendary film and theater producer Scott Rudin. Both of these projects were significant challenges in that the natural topography of both landscapes had much to say in the ultimate designs of their gardens. Renny's approach to his designs, however, is always to, first, "listen to the land" and what it tells you in terms of what is both feasible and appropriate, and then to plunge in with a judicious hand. The resultant landscapes both showcase the happy results of his signature method.
